I must admit that this storm has reminded me of what I take for granted. I am so accustomed to flipping a switch and a light coming on, going to the refrigerator that has power going to it in order to keep things cold, or picking up a cell phone and always being able to call or text someone. When our power went out and cell phone service was more off then on, I was reminded of how I depend upon things that matter very little in the big scheme of things. People in this storm lost homes and other important possessions. Many are working hard to try to restore a lot of what has been lost.
Let’s appreciate everything and take nothing for granted. When we begin to count our blessings, we will find that we can’t stop. We are blessed!
