Vision for our future

Vision is one of my favorite subjects. After I read this, I felt like Clarence Dalrymple said this much better than I could. I cannot wait until 2018 to see what God will do. Don’t settle for whatever happens! Aim for something and watch God honor the dream He put within you.

Goals and dreams must be God-given or their success will only bring a feeling of momentary satisfaction. Many in the church do so many good works and yet they cannot figure out why they feel tired and empty after all their effort. Could it be that they have not seen the vision God has for their life? Could they be doing good works, but not the works that God has for them?

We must be careful to stay focused on the vision that God has given to us and not get caught up in doing things that make us feel good or things that please someone else. Godly vision and direction will fulfill us and the people we connect with. Success in God’s eyes is far different than what we term success. There may…

  1. Oh man spot on! – “Could it be that they have not seen the vision God has for their life? Could they be doing good works, but not the works that God has for them? These are really good questions that we should be asking, especially as we head into the new year. And for those of us that are confident in the direction we are going in, how can we come along side those who are not so sure and help them see?
