The Milestone I Never Thought I Would Reach

When I started this blog in 2015, I didn’t know what I was doing. I got on WordPress and started writing. I was smart enough to figure out how to post it to my social media accounts, so my closest friends were my first readers. I didn’t know anything about following other bloggers, commenting, or anything. I remember being blown away by the fact that people from all around the world were reading what I was writing. I eventually picked up contacts from all kinds of people through this blog – contacts that have become cherished connections.

I would not be celebrating 1,000 “followers” today if it were not for you, the readers, who have been so faithful to read, comment, and encourage. I would have dropped this a long time ago, but you have been wonderful to cheer me on to better writing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless you all!

  1. Congrats on your blogging Matt, for sticking with it and thanks for sharing what’s on your heart dude. I am sure lots of people have been encouraged and challenged by your words.

  2. I followed you not because I wanted to or felt like following you.
I followed you because I saw what Christ was and still doing in your life.

Keep on the good work and never stop writing. The sky will never be your limit but your stepping stone.

    You’re lifted.

  3. Hey Matthew congratulations on God providing such a great platform to present His Word and Truth. It doesn’t surprise me that so many are drawn to your blog. I am so grateful that God allowed our paths to cross.

I have found it to be a mixed blessing to have so many followers. I miss the intimacy I had developed over the years with those who commented and became close friends. I even had the joy of meeting one of my followers in Frankfurt, Kentucky and it was a fabulous visit!

However with more followers comes a chasm sometimes of loss. It’s impossible to read all those posts that enter my inbox. We all have so many responsibilities today. Those from 5 years ago discontinue blogging and I have no idea where they went. I try to cultivate close friendships with those who communicate with me and I do hope you never get so popular that you lose touch with those who follow you, 🙂 Keep up the great Work of God!

  4. Congratulations! Matthew on getting 1,000 followers. That means that your blog of hope is reaching 1,000 lives around the world and even more than you could know about. I pray that you continue to trust in God and He will use your blog to reach more and more lives.

  5. Congratulations on hitting this milestone! You words are a blessing and a light in the dark world we live in! I pray you continue to reach more people and more souls! 🙂
