Dear Praying Friends

To all my WordPress family, you have been an inspiration to me since I began blogging in 2015. I know that many of you are praying people, so I ask that you join me in prayer about something in relation to our church.

We began in January 2017, meeting in an event room that was very inexpensive. In October, God led us to discontinue that relationship which led us to another facility which I knew would last for a shorter season. That season will end at the end of this month. I sense a firm call of God to stay in the town where we currently worship. The options seem limited due to funding, but we know our God is BIG!

With less than 3 weeks remaining, it leaves a guy a bit nervous. God did it twice before, so He WILL do it again! I’m a detail guy, so it is difficult for me to release my hands and let “Jesus take the wheel”. I have also experienced various forms of satanic attack, so I really know that God is at work. The devil doesn’t fight this hard when God has a bigger plan.

I like to keep my readers informed as you have followed this journey for part of the time at least, while others have been praying and following the whole time. I believe this next step will require more finances and faith, but I always say what I have heard from someone else that “God pays for what He orders”. With that said, would you pray for the following?

  • Wisdom and discernment to sense what is of God and what is a distraction
  • Big faith to step out even though it may not make sense to us
  • Us to be faithful with the new opportunity God gives us

Thanks in advance! You guys are a blessing. Any advice from pastors and church planters is welcome as well as any word from God from the people of God.

  1. I just prayed. I have faith in God. Trust that He will provide for what He commands. He owns everything. People forget that. Big picture help… if He wants you to do it (which He does), He will provide what you need but requires your faith and I will lend you some of mine in prayer. Believe. Dismiss unbelief in Jesus’ name. Praise God!

  2. I’m going to add your request to my community prayer request post for April in addition to praying for you all ๐Ÿ™‚ I love that quote!!! I’m going to have to write it down.

  3. Praying for you, Matthew! I’m part of a tiny church that’s been living on a wing and a prayer too, so I hear you. Asking for the Lord’s amazing and abundant provision to be upon you.

  4. I just prayed for you. Oddly, I couldnโ€™t sleep, so was browsing in WordPress, and was blessed to read your post and honored to pray for you and your church. I will continue to pray until you post another update.

The verses that come to mind for your situation are as follows:
    – Deuteronomy 31:8
    – Psalm 62:1
    – Isaiah 26:3, and
    – Matthew 19:26.

God bless you and all that you do in His name! โœ๏ธ
